Terms of Service

Effective May 21, 2026

These terms govern your use of Station Pulse. Please read them carefully. By using the service, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Just Develop ( "Station Pulse," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing the mobile app, or using any part of the Station Pulse service, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you accept these Terms on behalf of a fire department or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

2. The service

Station Pulse is a software service for volunteer and career fire departments, providing tools for member rosters, station check-in / check-out, task assignment, event scheduling, announcements, and related operational features, accessed through a mobile app and a web app at getstationpulse.com.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable advance notice of changes that materially reduce a paying customer's functionality.

3. Accounts and roles

  • Department: the fire department or organization that subscribes to Station Pulse and is the customer of record for billing.
  • Chief: a department administrator with authority to manage the subscription, invite or remove members, configure stations and roles, and access department data.
  • Member: an individual user invited into a department by a chief, who uses the app to record check-ins, complete tasks, RSVP to events, and otherwise participate in department operations.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Station Pulse is sold to departments as a subscription. The chief subscribes on behalf of the department on the web at getstationpulse.com. Subscription fees, billing frequency, and renewal terms are presented at the time of purchase.

  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
  • Payment processing: payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms.
  • Cancellation: a chief may cancel the subscription at any time from the billing portal at getstationpulse.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the department retains access until then.
  • Refunds: fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Taxes: fees are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable taxes.
  • No in-app purchases: the mobile app does not contain in-app purchase, billing, or subscription management surfaces. Individual members do not pay to use Station Pulse.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Upload, transmit, or store content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise probe the service except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Interfere with the service, the underlying infrastructure, other users, or the security or integrity of the system.
  • Share your account credentials or let anyone else use your account.
  • Use the service to transmit malware, run vulnerability scans without authorization, or send spam.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.

6. Department data

Information that a department and its members enter into Station Pulse — rosters, check-ins, tasks, announcements, event records, and similar operational content (collectively "Department Data") — belongs to the department. We process Department Data on the department's behalf to provide the service, to comply with our legal obligations, and to keep the system secure. Our handling of personal information within Department Data is described in the Privacy Policy.

You grant Station Pulse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display Department Data solely as needed to provide the service to you.

Upon cancellation, a chief may export Department Data through the in-app export tools for a reasonable period before the data is purged according to our retention policy.

7. Our intellectual property

Station Pulse and all related software, design, logos, and content (excluding Department Data) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your department's internal operational purposes, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted.

8. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. A member may delete their account from the in-app deletion flow (see /account-deletion ) or by leaving the department. A chief may cancel the subscription from the billing portal.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your subscription lapses, if required by law, or if continued service poses a security or operational risk. We will give reasonable advance notice where practical and where the breach is not material.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Station Pulse is not an emergency dispatch system, a 911 service, or a life-safety-critical system. Do not rely on Station Pulse for emergency response, dispatch, or other time-critical safety operations. Always use your jurisdiction's authorized emergency dispatch and communications systems for those purposes.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Station Pulse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the service, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount the relevant department paid to Station Pulse in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limits may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Station Pulse and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your use of the service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Alabama, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved by binding arbitration in Madison County, Alabama, except that either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

You and Station Pulse agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Miscellaneous

  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Station Pulse regarding the service.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in full force.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
